Fundraising for the Mabel Tainter Memorial

Becoming a Friend of the Tainter Directly Benefits the Community

We are requesting your help in sustaining a legacy of artistic excellence and community service while having a lasting impact on a national historic landmark we all care about — the Mabel Tainter Memorial Theater. As a individual contributor to the annual fund, you play a vital role in fulfilling the Tainter vision. Every dollar of your annual donation is wisely spent, directly benefiting the community and while empowering the arts for generations to come.

The Mabel Tainter is a vital part of the region’s economic growth. A recent national economic impact survey of the non-profit arts industry confirms the revenue benefits to local businesses and government. The non-profit arts industry in the Chippewa Valley generates over 4.8 million in economic activity annually. By supporting the Mabel Tainter Memorial Theater you are supporting the economic growth of the Chippewa Valley region.

We invite you to become a part of the current generation helping to fulfill the Tainter vision. Your 100% tax-deductible contribution keeps the lights, the music and the historic tradition alive at the Mabel Tainter Theater. To contribute or for further information, please contact Gary Schuster, Executive Director, at (715) 235-9726 ext. 17 or via email at schuster@mabeltainter.com.

Heritage For Tomorrow Endowment

The Heritage for Tomorrow Endowment, established in 1986, protects and preserves the Mabel Tainter Memorial, one of the finest examples of 1890's architecture and design in existence anywhere. In addition, it provides educational and cultural opportunities for area citizens.

The Endowment helps ensure a rich heritage for tomorrow by helping to secure the Memorial's financial future. Endowment interest is used to supplement necessary capital improvements, underwrite ongoing operations and assist with vital restoration projects. Gifts of $1000 or more are permanently recognized with a brass plate on the Endowment board located in the entry way of the theater.

Planned Giving

We recognize that our donors collectively represent the present success and future fulfillment of our mission, and we thank you for your active support. A gift to the Mabel Tainter Memorial gives you a feeling of personal satisfaction and demonstrates your belief in its mission. It will also give you a more tangible return in the form of desirable tax benefits.

We will be happy to provide full details of the many possible charitable giving arrangements that best work in your personal circumstances. Changes to tax law may affect the precise tax deductions, tax savings and ideal timing of a gift. Together with your tax advisor, we can help you plan and implement a charitable gift that supplements your generosity with available tax credits.

To find out how your gift, no matter how large or small, can impact the Mabel Tainter's future, contact Gary Schuster, Executive Director, at (715) 235-9726 ext. 17 or via email at schuster@mabeltainter.com.
